How long will it take to get the receipt number when we apply for H-1 extension? And how long will it take to get the decision?
I am assuming when I have the receipt number, I can be considered to be in legal status and keep working with my present employer though I-94 is expired.
Please help with your answers/suggestions.

I am currently working on H1B and have received my EAD and Advance Parole recently. I am planning to travel next month and want to use
my Advance Parole for this purpose. When I come back (to avoid h1b stamping again in home country). Do I need to use EAD to continue
working in US?

My wife is from Bangalore, however since Chennai did not have available dates till Jan 20th she has scheduled her H4 appointment at New Delhi for Jan 9th. Please share experiences.

In the 485 check list sent by my employer one of the item is :
"Affidavit of support duly notarized (Form I-864) if you are applying for your family"
I am applying for my self and my wife and for my daugher. I will send my all paper to my employer and he will sent to attorney.
Do i have to fill form I-864 or attorney will fill form. if i need to fill then where i can find this form and how i can notarize it.
Please help.

Because if the person applying via EB based Green Card is married and if has children that many number of visas are used up when his application is approved, so even the petition was done for just 1 person, possibly, 2-3 unnecessary visas are being used up.

I filed my appeal with a new 140 on the same labor in Eb3, and in my Motion to Reopen specified to consider my old application in eb3 but if they will not to atleast consider my new application. This was an year back and I have filed premium, my new 140 was approved in 3 days, old one went AAO, but we withdrew the old one.
Talk to a good attorney, I consulted Aron Finkelstein in Murthy law firm. They were nominal and excellent customer support.

I had applied for my H1B extn and got an RFE. Lawyers replied to it and its almost 7 weeks now, haven't got any reply.
Is this a usual timeframe? how long will it usually take for USCIS to take any action on the RFE's after the reply was sent with all appropriate documents?

You could travel out and enter into US using your old visa stamp assuming that you enter before your old visa stamp expires. However show the new approved I-797 H1B petition at port of entry and they MOSTLY will give you a new I-94 valid till the expiration of new I-797 approval.

In regard to the background question, I'm assuming you mean the faint overlapping designs behind the contents in the header. This can be achieved by placing designs of your choice (such as the logo in the example you provided) on separate layers and assiging various opacities to each layer in photoshop (check the layers tab for the opacity modifier).
As far as making professional sites go: it's a pretty general question. I could only suggest practicing and learning from experience. Or go to a reputable design school.

I want to apply for AP but I'm not sure if I qualify and I don't want to get rejected as I cannot afford to lose the money. I am here on F-1 visa and got married and subsequently have applied for I-485 and got receipt for it.
1. Can I apply for advanced parole?
2. I want to go home and visit family and/or have AP in case I need to leave. Is this a valid reason? Is this what I write as my reason on form?

They may not accept a certificate from india, medical exams has to be done by a civil surgeon in your area who is authorized to perform the tests.

First of all, have a Nice New Year !!!!
I have a Nikon D70, a 18-70mm and 180mm 2.8 Ai MF.
I�m thinking to buy this old len Nikkor AF 70-210mm, but i would like some tips and help about it.
I heard that the version D of it, 4-5.6D, is fastter than no-D version. Is it really true ?
And what about the version f/4. Is it better than 4-5.6 and D ? But i heard about it is less fast in focus than 4-5.6D too.
Who has this lens to tell me something ?
Which one is the best ?
There is a lot 4-5.6 non-D to sell here in Brasil, but D its a little more dificult and expensive.
This D, worth the extra money or the velocity of the focus from non-D its not so extraordinary.
