Hi,
My first 3 year of H-1 is about to expire in October 2009.
My employer is planning to apply for extension by premium processing in the next few weeks.
My question:
What if the H1 extension is rejected? Am I considered to be in legal status till October? I hope the original H1 is still in good position till October even though if my employer filing of extension is rejected.
Please help with your answers.

Yes - as long as your 485 is pending and you have a US address to receive the card.
So in this case, the person should send the documents from India, correct? One of the requirement was I-94 card. How will we provide that if you are out of the country? What to say for Last Entry?

How are you calculating the border right now? Are you simply taking the size of the image and subtracting a few pixels?

My wife is maintaining her H4 status since Feb 07 and last entered US on H4 visa in July 2010, we have our EAD cards based on pending I485 filed in Aug 07. Her AP is valid till Jan 2011 and I am on H1B. she started working on EAD couple of weeks ago.
My question is: does the fact that she entered last on H4 affects her ability to work on EAD? Will it cause any problems in I485 approval.

My colleague went to India for 6 months after getting his GC, and has been just chilling out here for more than a year now.
You are a free bird once you have GC, just shouldn't be out of the country for more than 180 days in a year for tax purposes..

I am assuming you are talking about a new H1 that is subject to the 2009 - 2010 cap of 65K. You can file it anytime as long as H1 numbers are available. You can even file for a H1 in Sept. 2010 (that is subject to the 2009 - 2010 cap) if a visa number is available from the 2009 - 2010 quota (not sure if your job has to start before Oct. 2010 to qualify for a H1 subject to the 2009 - 2010 cap though).

If she comes back on H4 she can not start working until another h4-h1 (cos) complete. It is really your personal choice and how confident you are about your wife's successful h1b stamping at home consulate.

gurus..inputs plz!
did my first MS, got First OPT ...worked on OPT..didnt find a job..
went back did my second MS..got another OPT...and moved into non-quota H1 (research field at a hospital)
now plan to go back and get an MBA..
1.) will i get an OPT after my (fulltime) MBA??? (as i already have 2 OPT's)...is there a limit of OPTS?
2.) Since i was a non-quota H1..will i have to apply for the quota H1 when and come out of MBA...which is basically a lottery system now!!! (and if i dont hit the jackpot that will put me out of status immediately after )
any inputs are appretiated!!

I don't know about any of those lenses from personal experience, but for what it's worth, Bj�rn R�rslett rates the f/4 version at 2.5 out of 5 (on a D1x, which is similar in resolution to the D70), and doesn't have much praise for its image quality. I'd guess that the f/4-5.6 versions, being newer designs, should be better.
