Hi
Since I got electronic refund to my tax rebate and have SSN for all family members, I was expecting Tax refund (stimulus) to be deposited in my bank accoung this week. This was big announcement in the last week.
But I dont see any rebate deposited in my account?
Does any of you have received such rebates?
Is there any contacts numbers where we can approach if we did not received Stimulus rebate al though we filed electronically?

I did received the money on May 2 nd. The date when you receive your money depends on teh last two didigit of your SSN number. PLease check IRS.Gov there is a link to check your sttaus.

we applied ap in octoer and we got receipt on oct 24th but we found a typo error on my daughters receipt instead of 'ekthasruthi sakala' it was ektha sakala' will it be a problem at the port of entry . please suggest me.

My Personal experience was:
- When my H1B was filed for the first time it had a wrong Date of Birth, lawyer asked me to bring Birth Certificate to the Interview at the consulate. I did not have problems with the stamping of the visa.
When my extension was filed , again, Date of Birth was wrong. Lawyer told me the same thing. Get recent Birth Certificate and bring it to the Interview.
Did not have any problem at all.

In 2000, Congress authorized the use of 130,000 these �lost� visa numbers by what has come to be known as the �visa recapture� method. However, approximately 219,000 numbers have not been �recaptured�. The current worldwide pending cases in all employment based categories is approximately 340,000 applicants. A one‐time recapture of the 219,000 unused visa numbers could go a long way to eliminating this backlog and bringing much needed relief to many applicants who currently face the prospect of becoming residents of the United States after they retire.

Hi,
My I-140 is pending, and my H1B renewal is also pending. Can I travel to India? If yes, what will I show as proof at re-entry?
How will it be for my wife? She is on F1 going on to OPT and a pending I-485 linked to my I-140 application.

I suggest you do premium processing of H1 extension or wait until approval. As far as your wife is concerned, I am not clear if she has a visa stamp. If not she can enter on AP.

if so, will the priority date be same or it will be new once converted to F1 category.

Wow, very interesting. Though I might experiment with cropping (first try would be cutting off the bottom, including the one bird down there, to make it more panoramic and [hopefully] make the horizon less centered), there's not really anything that I'd change about this photo. Good work, IMHO. :)

I think my scenario is little complicated.I have my I140 (EB3) cleared with previous employer and my current company has filed new labor and I140 (EB2). They are trying to capture the priority date of my old I140 approval (August 2006).
While my current I140 is still going on, can I apply for I1-485 due to sudden improvement shown for EB2 category in September Visa bulletin.
Please advice.

Mine is approved I140. If USCIS doesn't ask for paystub then giving EVL of any consulting firm will solve the problem?
Also, my wife is working on EAD. Can she apply for H1 visa? Will it affect our GC process? I am the primary applicant.

I am a July 07 filer. Recently I sent in EAD renewal application and got it approved within a month. When I saw my EAD card the Sex category on it was F instead of M. Now what are my option. Should I reapply for EAD or continue working on it. I changed my employer last month and am currently working on EAD.

This appears to be more relavant given the need for rejuvenating the state chapters. Why not we have this as simple links on the main page itself and make it damn easy to join the chapter. The most important thing to do is to have the members join the chapters and have the contact numbers. Once these are there the IV state chapters could follow up and get the activities rolling with these members.
Bottom line: Have the state chapter joining links on the main page and have it simplified for the members to join very easily ( kind of taking the name, contact number and email and nothing more) later the chapter core could get in touch with them and get the complete profile. A kind of marketing gimmick.
