I like this one! I tried that a while back but it wasn't as successful as yours. Maybe the keyboard would be better positioned not quite so close to the left hand edge imo. Well done though!
Same issue of lack of sun over here, too. I like the feel of this posed shot. I think it would be a bit stronger if the watch face were more visible. It's kind of hard to tell if the time is the same. Shooting this with something like a pocket watch on the sundial would be interesting, too. Similar shape but different "mechanisms".

Something a bit more classic with mechanical movement...though I do appreciate the contrast between the sundail and digital. I also wonder how a rectangular crop would look that brought us in closer to the sundail and the watch.

Had to do it from the other side as it was 2 pm before the opportunity arose and maybe the background isn't as good, also tried a lower viewpoint this time.

Hmm, this could work in Apple's favour if, for example, the unthinkable happened and CS3 was released as Intel-only. It'd force a lot of pro users to upgrade their hardware to Intel Macs. Then again it could piss them all off into gradually abandoning the Mac platform and switching to PC.
It's not a good precedent, but inevitable at some point. Surprising that it's happening already though.

Whether you like the military or you don't, if we want them to survive on the battlefield it's important that they have the best equipment possible. If in some case that were an Apple product, all the more power to them if they want to buy it.

i doubt apple with update the MB soon, there just wouldnt be enough distinguishing the MB from the MBP if they both got C2D at the same time, mostl ikely it will be like the mini, it will get a small speed bump.

Here's the catch, however: The tower itself isn't real. It's a fake recreation of a GSM base station that allows Paget to overpower the actual signals from real-life base stations. The end result? Cell phones connect to PagetNet�or whatever name he's assigned his creation�thinking that they're accessing an actual cell phone tower.
When that happens, Paget can listen in to the conversations and/or record them at his leisure. His device�an International Mobile Identity Subscriber catcher�bounces the call to an actual cell phone tower and the user is none the wiser, save for the fact that all inbound calls now go directly to said user's voicemail as the carrier considers the actual phone off-network.

I did nothing. Called no one. Complained no where. Dumb luck that I got the notice in the mail.
If the Microcell drew enough power for me to be concerned about it I'd bitch about the power consumption. But with a power bill that's about $30/mo. I don't care.

neither would qualify as far as the law is concerned. You're merely acting on your own prejudices in those cases. Typically the laws that exist are aimed to prevent you from depriving others of their rights as a citizen, and typically those laws exist only where there's a long history of that happening.

Apple has periods in which they allow people to apply for AppleSeed accounts. The purpose is to help them test their OS updates and releases in environments they are not able to replicate themselves. To this end I am not sure how your friend can 'get' you a seed account, legitimately. if you go the AppleSeed page you are generally greeted with the message
"We are not seeking new participants. You must have an invitation in order to log in."
That being said, anything relating to the seeds you would download are covered by NDA (non-disclosure agreement) and are legally binding. So your answer would be you cannot, legally, talk about those issues in any other forum then the one they provide.
The Select and Premier account levels allow the principle owner to give out Seed access to any ADC member. That means if you have a free account, and I'm a Premier member, I could give you seed access.

For the love of God, will they please fix the bug that causes any wall, photo, or comment posts to slow to a crawl if you haven't reinstalled the Facebook app in some time.

Example: I restore my iPhone. Facebook runs like a sprint horse fresh out of the gate. Posting status updates, wall comments, photo comments, friend requests, etc.. are all snappy. Then after about a week things start taking longer to post. The spinner lasts much longer on the screen. Then by week 4, trying to post a simple status update cripples the app to the point that you have to hit the Home button on the iPhone. Meanwhile, even though your spinner is processing, that status update has already updated on their servers for others to see.

Right now I have a 24" white iMac with a 2.33 Ghz C2D and a 15" MacBook Pro with a 2.53 Ghz C2D. Both computers are great and work perfectly for what I do. The only problem is having two computers is overkill for me. Transferring files and apps is just too much of a hassle. What I'd like to do is get one of the new 13" MacBook Pros and get an external display to hook up when I'm using it at my desk. I just have a few questions. But first, let me tell you what I use my computer for: I do some web design and development, using CSSEdit, Espresso, Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks, Illustrator, Photoshop. I do some RAW photo editing using Aperture and Photoshop. I do a lot of casual web surfing, emailing, etc. I watch videos on Hulu. I'll be going to school in the fall for computer science, so I'll be doing some (or a lot) of...whatever it is they have me doing. I do absolutely no gaming. So, here are my questions:

Headset jack was removed, so had to buy a USB headset for example.
He just needed to buy a 3.5mm combo-jack to dual-jack adaptor. Probably under a dollar.

If the goal of Apple software is to sell Apple hardware, wouldn't it make more sense to give the airplay licenses away rather than trying to sell them?
