This may only happen if they get rid of the consumer-quality GPS receiver in it. Would raise the price of the handset, though.
It's more than likely going to be the use of their own software (iMaps?) rather than use Google which has their own Mobile OS now.
the GPS and the antenna in iPhone 4 certainly works well enough. Infact, it's better than my standalone TomTom. But I see your point... TomTom is one of the consumer-quality GPS.

Look at ipodnano.com. These gals/guys are moving really fast.
On the free ipodnano offer, do they expect that the types of folks who have access to such information in the first 24 hours are the types of people who sign up for these?

I was thinking that there would be a big Garmin APpe hook up in terms of getting GPS onto the iPhone/Touch, but that might come still at Macworld I guess. Hoping for it, as the Forerunner 405 plus a nano with the gps data would be a great training and exercise product line up.

I also would LOVE these games!
Add 'Paper Boy', 'Crystal Castles', and '720' I would be a happy camper.
Crystal Castles is in there (but tough to play with the faux track-ball).
Paper Boy would be cool, especially if they used the iPad gyro's as the controller!
In fact Star Wars arcade (and any of the Atari arcaded games that used that flight-yoke looking controller) using the gyro's would be awesome too. Road Blasters, Star Wars ROTJ both used it I think.

I couldn't believe how easy it was to use the iMovie '11 Trailers feature. It was a little bit strict, so I did have to export it, then import it to make some minor adjustments, but still, very simple.

The orientation selection is not under the Microsoft Word settings of the File/Page Setup... dialog box. You will find it under the Page Attributes popup menu selection.

Just a tip as far as geektool goes. Make sure you set the refresh times differently. If you have all of them set to refresh at the same time, you could run into problems.

I have a 3GS with 4.1. I would like to got to 4.2.1. I downloaded the 4.2.1 firmware, when I hit shift-restore 4.2.1 itune gave me an error messaage. Can I use other software to upgrade? Thanks.

No light sounds like it isn't getting any power. Are you sure it is plugged in to the power at the wall?
Have you tried another cable or USB port?
Does it make any noise at all? Can you hear the drive spinning up, or is there any clicking noise, etc?

I can confirm that I am a genuine iPhone 4 user who loves it.
And I can confirm that my ass itches.
(Point being, your confirmation about yourself means nothing.)
Don't get me wrong, I've had plenty of problems with my iPhone as well, just confirming with others who can do nothing to fix it... isn't helpful at all.
It's just that the only real 'confirmation' (at least the only one that matters) is done by the manufacturer's testers ... (Apple's in this case)...
AFTER you report the issue (https://bugreport.apple.com/), with clear & easy to follow repro steps.
So if you have an issue that you can consistently reproduce, with any software... lookup the manufacturer... see if they have a bug reporting tool (or a support contact), and report it. ^_^
