I like it,
its a calendar, it looks like what it does, with MobileMe its the exact same calendar as the one on my iPhone and iPad, now it looks the same
love the continuity in the calendars! if windows look different from each other it's a good thing, because they all do different things.

not so fast. remember 'origami'. "who?" "what??" yeh, exactly. msoft's tablet PC that generated a lot of buzz before it's launch. and when it launched, it promptly flopped, hence the hollow response when it's name is shouted. i agree that an xbox branded device will have to compete with both psp and ipod, and even nintendo's ds; and hence i don't think apple's in any real danger. nevertheless, it is 'bout that time they release another major ipod revision.
Remember, though - Origami was another one of those projects where Microsoft do the software side and leave a number of third parties to do the hardware.
With this new device, Microsoft will do the whole shebang in the same way as they do the Xbox - so there's certainly danger here; look how the Xbox impacted the console market!
Apple are not resting on their laurels, though - I'm sure we'll see some pretty impressive updates to iPod because of this new competition. :D

What was an 11 year old doing that required this app? I bet pressed download just for the thrill of it and when it started downloading he freaked out.

Totally stupid story and Apple should not be blamed for anything, but i'm happy that they will receive a refund. Happy ending. Next time kid, don't click buy if you don't want it and maybe use prepaid cards.

So if the white iPhone 4 comes out in April/May, could we take it as an indicate that iPhone 5 won't be out in June?
Why would they release the white phone and then release iPhone 5 in a month after that?
On the other hand, iPhone 4 and 3GS co-exist, so what would be the problem if there was a cheaper black/white iPhone 4 and black/white iPhone 5 at the same time?

You know, that's a good idea.
Here I was so caught up in the idea of getting it to be a final version, I didn't even think of that. Let the machines that are designed to do this do the work....
(I'm not even going to dignify the other snide poster with a response  )
I'm sorry if my comment came off as being snide.
But it really bothers me when people post how wonderful an app is and how useful it is and how it completely replaces a much more expensive app. When in reality it is only a simple consumer level product.
Others read this forum and buy Pages thinking that they can eliminate the use of Word. Then they find out that it really isn't that compatible with Word files. If you email a windows user a .doc file exported from pages, 7 times out of 10 they have problems with it.
Most pro printshops, publishers, law firms etc. only except word .doc files. Almost all law firms require a revision history. Collaboration tools are useally also required. Word handles this expertly. Plus it has table of contents tools, book publishing tools, bibliography tools, direct faxing, multitudes of custom templates, VB programing hooks, etc. etc. None of this has an equivalent in Pages.
I'm glad you found a solution to your problem and I am glad that Pages satisfies your needs for word processing. Maybe someday it will move out of the "consumer" ranks and into the "Pro" ranks when more functionality is added. Apple seems to know the niche that they are addressing very well.

I'm still wondering about battery life.
And they list the wired as Windows compatible, but not the new bluetooth version. Any reason it wouldn't work on Windows?
Any reason anything works in windows?

Is anyone else bothered by the button to buy more batteries?
No. Some people *want* a spare battery, if you don't want it don't buy it. It's not like it's a popup ad or something.
The American market is not like the rest of the world and it really isn't 'all anyone uses'.
Which is why he began the statement AROUND HERE. Since when does "around here" mean "everyone in the world"?

Even though they had their most successful quarter, overly high expectations and a US economic recession is the reason. It's expected, the whole market is in decline.

Panic (http://www.panic.com/) developer Cabel Sasser (http://twitter.com/cabel) noticed a strange bug in the iTunes App Store this evening. As part of the hardware requirements on several new apps, a placeholder name "ix.Mac.MarketingName" has appeared on several apps' iTunes listings.
Let's look at this from the developer's point of view. If it's not an accidental glitch it must be a placeholder for something not yet released. We [developers] use such placeholders/variables in templates all the time and don't put dots at random places. Usually when we put a dot after something it means that we are talking about particular trait or side of the object. E.g: person.age means 'age*of the person'.
In this case ix.mac.marketing is likely to imply:
City Wallpaper 1080p (19)
HD Wallpaper: CityScape
wallpaper city hd.
phone with wallpapers,
Arsenal HD Wallpapers 2009

Disappointing, but expected. This actually brings up more questions than answers though:
1) Is this a permanent move to a Fall Release of the iPhone?
I'm starting to think it will be. If you look at the "big picture" it makes sense. The iPod is in decline, so Apple's previous big Fall music event isn't really big anymore. The iPhone could shore that up and bring lots of sales to 4Q and maybe even, reinvigorate iPod sales.
Apple then uses early summer to push new Macs for back to school. Late winter/early Spring remains iPad.

This goes to show that Microsoft is not done taking business from others.
Even if this does generate some sort of competition for Apple and the iPod, Microsoft will be miles behind Apple as usual.
I hope this does not become a repeat of what happened back in the 80's. That is, first Apple comes out with great products and all is well for some time. Then Microsoft comes out with a poor copy of that product then takes 95% of the market.

Let's all spell it together.
EXCLUSIVITY.
AT&T had it at one time. Hence, TMobile couldn't have the iPhone, or any other carrier in the United States.
The more you know.....
It's absolutely ridiculous it has taken this long for tmobile to have the iphone in the usa.
