Most Photoshop 6 tutorials also work the same in PS7. I don't really follow many tutorials, so I don't know any of the good sites with tutorials, but if you run a search on www.google.com for Photoshop tutorials you should get something. Even if they are for PS6, they will most likely work in PS7.

Thanks for the info but my question is about multiple I-485 filing...
Is is legally possible to do that ? If one could do that, will it create I-485 processing complicated ?

GC application is for future employmnet - so u can theoritically not join ur employer until ur GC is completely through. But how many employers will be willing to take that risk , esp. mom-pop shop Consultancy firms.

Sounds like someone at SSN office who may not know much about immigration.
If your I 797 came with attached I94, then you certainly can apply for SSN card. Just ask for supervisor at the SS office and talk to them.
If your I 797 does not have attached I 94 (meaning that you are still in H4 status), then I do not know for sure what the procedure would be to apply for SS card.

Now , am in the second category..Have an H1 but my i94 is on H4 stamping ..I hold an Indian passport , do you know if i should get the H1 stamping (first time stamping) in India or can i conveniently get it done in Canada?
If your H1 approval notice did not come with the I-94 printed on it, then Canada is definitely an option to get it stamped, however its always better to get the first time stamping done in your home country.
You could also get your status changed while in US, but that would take additional fees and time. Speak to your H1-b sponsor about it.
btw, I would still check the approval notice to make sure that notice does not have an I-94 printed on the bottom of it. The I-94 printed at the bottom of the notice will have the same I-94 number as the one you have stapled to your passport, but will now have your status as H1 instead of H4.

I have Master's degree from US and have been with the company for 6yrs. This is the response from my Attorney on porting to EB2 category. My I485 was filed during July 2007. What can i do to be able to file a new PERM LC for porting to EB2 category without affecting my I485 application? Please advise.

Me and my wife are planning to buy a home, we are in 485 stage and both are working and have EAD. Do you think there can be issues for getting a joint loan on EAD ? I still have my H1, but my wife never had an H1 before, so she is working on EAD. Do lenders consider EADs for mortgages ? Did you have any issues with this ?

I have already moved to company B. Have an i-140 approved from company A in 09/2006. Now that my 6 years are over in 5 months, waiting for Fragomen to determine appropriate strategy for extension since new Perm has not been pending for 365 days. Anyone have experience with extending H1 using company A I-140 when with company B?

Unlike illegal immigrants, our family, including two teenage girls, followed the legal way to come into the USA. My husband, an IT specialist, was asked to come by a U.S. employer. We are from Holland, where some have had a weak spot for the USA since World War II; we took the step of moving to America in 2001.
After a visa, heaps of paperwork and an extension of the visa after three years � the employer still needs my husband's skills. He also offers his skills to U.S. workers via training. No other experts are available. So, we decided we wanted to stay. Despite legal hurdles, we like it here.
But, for the past year and a half or so, the Department of Labor has stacked applicants in backlog centers to see whether it is true that no U.S. citizen is available for the job. Officials promise a lot, but we are all waiting and waiting.
If the immigration legislation adds some millions of guest workers to that stack, what will happen to us legals?
That's why I was glad to see the commentary �Stingy immigration policy stifles U.S. innovation.� I hope it raises awareness. But couldn't we legal immigrants get the front page for once?

your lawyer (and most of them including some famous on wwww) are dhakkan. They have no clue what's going on with vb. They just know how to fill some some form , that also they screw lot of time.

I log in every day to see whats happening with my I-140 , Mine filed in september and the processing date moved only 15 days in last month. It took 2.5 years to complete the labor and I think I am struck in I-140 here...

If per country limit of 7% stays, how much relief would it bring in terms of
priority dates for India/China born individuals?
I do not think there shall be any significant positive movement in Priority dates. Even if annual numbers go to 290K from 140K and dependents are excluded. It is about 4 times meaning if earlier we had 10K for India including sposes meaning 5K effectively, now it will be appx 20K effectively!
Think of number of applicants from India and China and think of the flood coming when all backlog is cleared! I dont think we should expect big jump in priority dates.
Am I getting too pessimistic?

C'mon, the clue is in your RFE. It's from day of entry (this means last entry) to the filing of I-485. Previous entries do not matter for I-485.
Was her I-94 still valid at the time she filed I-485? If yes, then you should be ok.

where do we get to read the receipt number from the back of the check ?..i see so many ppl write that they cud get the receipt number from the back of the check and with that the cud track the fate of receipt notice.The back of my cleared check has so many numbers but they are all overlapping and unreadable.Do any1 else has the same issue?
can any1 tell what is the window period b ween check clearance and recipt notice?

Did you issue just one check for all 485/EAD/AP or did you issue seperate checks. Further did you issue just one check for your family application as that may be why there are so many numbers at the back of the check.
You should call USCIS to get all the receipt numbers.

My wife arrived on Saturday and we completed the medical exam on Monday.
My lawyer did receive the original RFE along with the original medical that we submitted. I had to carry the document to the doctor.
Doctor did miss MMR last time because of pregnancy. He completed that and update the same document with new dates of vaccination with signature and gave us back in sealed envelope.
RFE Response had reached Texas center yesterday.
PS: Do not complete the pending medical exam though you are aware of this. You will have to wait till you get RFE. looks like the doctor would have to complete again the original document with new dates.

485 (EB3) was filed in July 2007 and still working for that company.
