There's a thread on media coverage which also states that we can get a lot of coverage amongst people via Digg.com.
What is digg and how it works- (wikipedia)
Readers can view all of the stories that have been submitted by fellow users in the "digg/News/Upcoming" section of the site. Once a story has received enough "diggs", it appears on Digg's front page. Should the story not receive enough diggs, or if enough users report a problem with the submission, the story will remain in the "digg all" area, where it may eventually be removed.
The highest rated digg in last 7 days (with 8632 hits / diggs) is that of a iphone. Our issue could not even beat the new iphone release. Immigrationvoice has about 14893 members, 7939 active members. If each member does a digg for himself and other one for spouse, we should have atleast 14000 digg to keep our write ups LIVE, in the minds of all the people visiting this page.

Hi,
Please help me with my situation below:
1) Got laid off from company A (they haven't cancelled my H1).
2) Got my H1B transferred to company B (this H1B transfer has not yet been approved). I did not work for them.
3) I did premium processing for H1B transfer for company C and got it approved. I haven't started working for them.
4) Now I have decided to work for company D. They are ready to do my H1B transfer.
Will that be a problem or do I have to go with company C? I do not have paystubs from company B and C. If I have to reenter US, will that be a problem? Please help me out.

How are you calculating the border right now? Are you simply taking the size of the image and subtracting a few pixels?

I only know information about I-485 filing but do not know what to expect after it is filed?
Can someone tell me what to expect after things are in place? Like expecting Receipt date, fingerprinting - how many of them, what to look for and what to watch out for etc. A consolidated discussion may help many who are unaware of the system.

In normal circumstances (without the floodgates open) you would get a receipt within 2-3 weeks after the application is submitted. Fingerprinting happens soon after (still within a month). Then you get an EAD first, then the AP. In all this your lawyer will be informed as well as you. Sometimes your lawyer gets to hear first b4 you.

Are you married to a USC? If so, you have nothing to worry about. Do not travel until your GC is approved as AP is not 100% safe for people that overstayed.

Hi
I have appied EAD and AP together for me and my wife.
I didn't receive the receipt notice for my wife EAD but the check is in cashed. when my wife called TEXAS center, IO told it was rejected by mistake and reprocessed.
She will call again tomorrow to find more. Her online status is still, petition is not signed and rejected. Application mailed back. But I didn't get the any document in mail.

My friend has a question. His wifes H1 got approved. As of now she doesnt have job. What if she gets job in dec/Jan. There wont be any pay roll for october and november. Will this create any problem at the time of visa stamping in India if she goes for vaction later in next year.

I have a valid H4 after receving the EAD now getting paid on 1099 (on an off), I am planning to visit India this year. My question is!
Can I come back on H4 (I have a valid stamp) or do I have to use my AP since I am using my EAD privileges for getting paid?
Will they know at the Point of Entry that I am using my EAD?

AT JFK. Just showed AP and passport. Went through US citizen/resident line, again to separate counter and no questions. Very cool and very very friendly CBP officers.

My client is trying to see if there are any possibilities to bring a graphic artist - flash developer from Phillipines, he currently works freelance and has made a big impression with his work. He has shown interest to come to US on h1b and company wants to know if they have any issues in bringing him onboard by sponsering a h1b. The issue is, he does not have college education, other than that, he qualifies excellent for a job in this company. Will he have issues in getting a h1b? Has anyone got H1b visas with college degrees but only with work experience?

I will be travelling outside US using AP by end of this month. I don not have valid stamped visa. Recently small part of my old company (A)got acquired by new company and my job was moved to new company (B)
Lawyer at company B applied for New H1 in May 2008 ( old is still valid till 2009)�but haven�t received approved 797 notice yet.
Can I travel outside US and comeback without haveing approved new 797 notice. I do have EAD and old 797.
Any issues ? I don�t want to abandon my H1 status.
Gurus please advise.

Your scenario is you will be reentering on AP , but switching the job to a new employer. You may lose your H1 status
