You will not have any problems with the move and using your own attorney should not be a problem either.

My attorney by mistake has applied for my ead renewal 10 days before the 120 time frame. I was supposed to send my application to USCIS by June 20th but my attorney sent it today and did this by mistake. can the gurus please explain me my options. i would hate to miss the line for being diligent. do they reject my application and if so will they send it back. can i apply a new app before i get this application back or do i have to wait till it comes back (if it comes back). what other negative implications should i be worried about.
thanks for your advice

please......
I got notices from CSC too yesterday. The notice has a receipt date of Sep. 18, 2007 and a notice date of Sep. 19, 2007. The notice says that my petition was filed at CSC which is not the correct service center and has been transferred to NSC. NSC will be getting back to me with action taken. The notice has no information regarding Priority date or Attorney inspite of having a approved I140 and G-28 form included in the petitions
I immediately contacted my Attorney. Turns out we had Fedexed the applications on July 20th to the NSC and was recieved at the NSC on July 23rd. According to the attorneys, NSC probably transferred applications across various service centers for data entry and these applications are now being transferred back to NSC. It is very likley that the actual receipts will be issued by NSC. To play it safe, my attorneys will be sending a letter to the NSC documenting this and requesting that they be sent the correspondence from hereon.
Hopefully, thats what it is. Have you asked your attorneys their opinion?

Seek a competent lawyer's help. There is a "nunc pro tunc" option . Since you applied for the initial amendment in May 2009 after your expiration of OPT, they would have to check if any grace period applies or if it could be done in your case for "change of Status". But worth the try, in either case you make sure you are not "out of status".
Hope all ends well for you.

Yesterday there was a post made which I commented.
Today i see this post on ilw.com
Greg Siskind on Immigration Law and Policy: MALDEF HEAD: DON'T BLOCK PIECEMEAL IMMIGRATION REFORM IF COMPREHENSIVE FAILS (http://blogs.ilw.com/gregsiskind/2009/09/maldef-head-dont-block-piecemeal-immigration-reform-if-comprehensive-fails.html)
On the whole Greg Siskind is a lawyer who is knowledgeable about political dynamics.
I always follow his articles.
I always felt that CIR was a impossible strategy. It bundles all the immigration bill in one single bill. The idea is that it would make the illegal legalization process more easier than in a piecemeal strategy where the easily passable ones like SKIL bill etc might pass leaving behind the more politically toxic rest.
Also what it does that it makes the CIR an isolated elephant which is hunted down by
a pack of wolves , in other words uniting the antis into one single consolidated powerful force.
Eventually the MALDEF head is realizing the folly of the logic and I feel in a Year or two CIR strategy will be abandoned for a piecemeal strategy.

No point in dreaming about getting any support from dems, they will bring up DREAM act for illegals and will hold legals hostage until CIR.
Our best chance is to get support from the republican pro-legal immigration senators like - Cornyn, Kyl, Judd Greg etc..

Unlike the last address, hope the upcoming state of the union will address immigration problems in detail instead of a one liner!

Try calling the USCIS.
GG_007
Hello guys,
If the employer is not willing to share your I-140 approval status with you, is there a way to find out this information from other sources?
I currently have my 485 & AP numbers but do not have I-140 number to track on the USCIS website.
Thanks for help in advance.

To quote from the article
"Hira said that grass-roots groups seeking reforms don't have the money or celebrity support that can turn attention to their concerns. But what they lack in money can be offset to some extent in numbers and effort, he said."
Exactly the same concern IV is facing today. We need more members and more money. In essence, please do your bit to support IV.

imagine, if MF digital backs were say, $6999, how many would sell???
bloody thousands....
seems stupid to me to make them so expensive
Right now, they can't make them cheaper. Michael Reichmann (sp?) of the Luminous Landscape speculated that Leaf probably makes a dozen or so of their new Valeo 22 MF backs each month, compared to how many hundreds of thousands of dRebels Canon makes? IIRC, he estimated that the sensor alone (without any support electronics or other hardware) might cost $5000 per unit to make.
Don't be mistaken, I'd love to be able to afford one of those, too, but it will be quite a while before the prices come down significantly (and I doubt they'll ever get quite that low).
