That would be the donors and people like you who have our respect. For a grass root level advocacy to work an organization has to be made up of grass root worker. Grass root workers are the people at the bottom of totem pole. In our case that would be EB3 workers now we all know that EB2 workers when they get their green card dissapear from the forum and leaves the EB3 guys to carry the burden (case in point PAPPU the admin who is the only admin i see on the forum since he is eb3) . So finally we are left to handle the IV Movement movind forward. Now if i was an organizer of a movement i would make sure that all the points made by the organisation is directed towards allaying the concern of people who have been impacted most by retrogration (BTW that would be Eb3 guys and not EB23 who by their god given right have first preference over everything and wil get residency soon because they are a preffered catefgory).

9 years oh my god... I read on one of these threads(May be threads for US students), a person is waiting since 2002. He has done his PHD from here and has children in colleges.
He went to extend his visa stamp to india, and they refused becuase the consulate asked him to wait till a decision on his case is made, then upon that decision they will give him a visa or not.
As per Pappu this is the only year... We have to do it this time by hook or my crook. All our provision should be met.
1) People waiting with I-485 get more visas to get GC.
2) People waiting to apply for I-485 should be allowed.
3) People should have the AC21 portability available so that they can leave their desi companies that torture them.
4) People with Master's Degree should also get priveledge.
5) Let their dream be fullfilled too (Increase in H1-B :D )

I just learned about this initiative today and immediately joined. I think it is a great way to pursue our goals and this iniative for each member to invite atleast one or more others to join the community is a step in the right direction. I would but I am not sure my story is the most compelling since EB3 ROW is by far not as bad off as EB3I or EB3C.
Whoever goes would have to leave anger at home though, I dont think anger will help us get through to people, emotion yes though?
Maybe we can figure out whos story would make the biggest impact and who is good at speaking, some might not feel comfortable doing thsi?

I was with Company A whn I got married which had my visa and I 94 till Nov 08,2006. My wife wnt to consul. and got her visa and I-94 till same date.
I came back to US alone and changed to company B in July 06 and got my I-94 till 2009. Since my wife came to USA after that she didnt get her xtension.
i forgot to file for her xtension.
I had to agn change the company C in Dec 06. Thats whn i realised her I-94 expired in Nov. My lawyer said it shud be Ok since she has not passed 180 days after it has expired. or else she cud be black listed
Today lawyer got an email from USCIS saying they r waiting on security check on my wife. Wht r the options my wife has becos her 180 days will reach in May 08. Can she stay here till a decision on her is finalised by USCIS?

Otherwise, I sincerely believe even after I get my green card, we should focus on resolving this green card backlog mess and if we can get green card holders and US Citizens to support this cause it woule be better.
Maybe you are not able to relate to what EB3 candidates go through. Yes it is a choice we made to wait in this country. A lot of EB3 people qualify for EB2 based on their qualifications and experience but were put into EB3 due to company's choice or attorney's mistake.
But no person should be made to wait for an answer of whether their application is going to be approved for 8-10 years.
The pre-adjudication in my opinion is a farce as it was more done to get their(USCIS) inventory calculated properly than ensuring the person is clear from all angles. Because, I know of about 5 people who are in EB2 who are sent RFE's now, after their dates have become current. They were supposedly pre-adjudicated as per the IO during the interview at the local office. some of them were fingerprints, some of them just to verify whether the husband and wife are still married etc.
Coming back to my point, there are EB3 applicants now who have a priority date of 2006, 2008 2009 etc. Can we accept a process which asks people to wait for 20 years to get a Yay or Nay for their application is the question. I think it is unacceptable. I believe more green card holders and US Citizens who are deciding to put their roots in USA should help the country to better the legal immigration system first before anything else.
Regarding citizenship as I mentioned before if you think you will not bail out after starting a campaign, then go ahead and lead it.
Let us not criticise any one further and look for very efficient way of presenting this to the right people.We welcome more ideas from other members then we will consilidate them and decide how we go with this.

My wife's status changed from H4 TO H1. Recently when she went to apply for her SSN, the officer there took her original approved H1 along with I-94 and never returned it to her. She assumed that they would need the originals . I didn't know about this since I live about 200 mi away from her.
We will contact them on Monday but in the worst case scenario, if they have lost it. Do I need to apply for a new I-94 or a copy will suffice.
Any hope??

I am not sure on address.. For Child - I dont think you can add the name to your passport unless you plan not to have a separate passport for the child..

EAD Paper mailed on 5/8 to Phoenix Lockbox.
Received on 5/10 as per the tracking number by Phoenix Lockbox.
No receipt notice or the cheques were not encashed. Called the National Service Center and was told to wait 30 days to get the receipt notice. :mad: is anyone in similar situation.
probably should've gone efile route mate. I efiled for my wife on May 17th and received confirmation on May 21st and was able to add the file number to my tracking portfolio the day after efiling.
